Science and Technology have a prima role to play in African Continent in its overall development. Africa being one of the world’s richest regions in terms of Natural Resources, great agricultural capacity and man-power; this brings to us the need for using various areas of sciences at large.

Africa has a pool of talent in diverse fields of research that is moving ahead. The field of Geo-Spatial sciences is no exception and many minds working for achieving the objectives they have set for the development of this region.

Following the successful completion of Map Africa 2006 in November last year, this year again, GIS Development presents Map Africa 2007, Second Annual African Conference and Exhibition on Geospatial Information, Technology and Applications. Map Africa promises to provide a platform to all stakeholders - Researchers, Users, Technology Developers, and Policy Makers to discuss, deliberate, exchange knowledge, experiences and collaborate for benefit of all in the Geospatial domain.
